Shana was the perfect bride. She has great taste, had a clear vision of her day & was well organized. She wanted an ultra chic & luxurious wedding but kept everything in perspective & understood what the day was ultimately about...she was going to marry her true love, Hendrick. Shana also had the perfect mom, Lonna, who found us through Project Wedding. Our first meeting was a giant love fest and every meeting that followed was no different. She always came bearing gifts. Wonderful chocolate gifts. Have we mentioned how much we love her? 

It was beyond amazing to work with you Lonna & Shana. Thank you for all the kind words & for just being you! We hope to work with you for years to come!

This was a very special wedding for us because the bride and groom are very special friends of ours. Itai is a long time bestie of my husband and I was beyond thrilled when he met Haleh. They are one of those couples that just work. They bring out all of the great qualities in each other and are so.much.fun to be around. Love them.

Just as their relationship has gone off without a hitch, so did their wedding day. It was a beautiful fall day in Los Angeles, the sun was perfect & there was a wonderful calm in the air. Haleh chose the perfect fall palette of warm orange and gold hues. There was lots of dancing, lots of laughs & great memories. Thank you Itai & Haleh for the honor of being such a intricate part of your special day. We love you much!

Perfection is the only word that comes to mind when describing Junko & Lisandro's gorgeous wedding in Hawaii. Junko meticulously planned every chic detail with the help of the very talented Sandra Williams of  Finishing Touch. We seriously can not get enough of these images shot by Frank Amodo...from the bright color palette to romantic wedding dress and the insanely gorgeous cake. Everything was perfection. Congratulations Junko & Lisandro, we feel so honored to have been a part of such special day!

Working with Sharon & Brian was such a delightful treat. Their quick wit kept us laughing and their keen eye for design kept us on our toes. They knew exactly what they wanted and communicated it perfectly..."we want our guest to feel as if they stumbled upon a great party in an enchanted forrest". They wanted the invitations to feel chic, organic & humorous.  We created a booklet style invitation complete with custom artwork.  At first glance the cover of the booklet looks like you are peaking through the forest, but if you look really close there are lots of little surprises...

Sharon & Brian reserved the Jewish Retreat Center, Isabella Freedman, for Labor Day weekend. They thoughtfully planned activities for their guests and provided copious details & information to help them prepare.  From the looks of the incredible photographs, the "Wild Wedding Weekend" turned out exactly how they had planned.

We know it has been several months since our last post, but we are going to make up for it with today's Real Wedding feature.  It has been a great summer & wedding season.  We have had the opportunity to work with so many wonderful brides and even assisted in the set-up of some amazing affairs.   Our absolute favorite of the year was Ami & Kevin's wedding at the Montage Resort & Spa.  Kelly Michelle Weddings contracted Prim & Pixie to provide the stationery along with several other exciting projects like the birdcage, flip flops, cocktail napkins, ice bar artwork & all of the items for the ice cream bar.  We were also lucky enough to assist Kelly in set-up on the day of the big event.  It was so great to work along side some of the best vendors in the business.  We are  going to let the pictures speak for themselves. Balloons are such a great, affordable way to add color and interest to your parties, events & photos.  We love them used as props in engagement pics, as decor at parties and yes...gasp...at your casual wedding.

The sweet girls from Pink Blossom List  featured our Love Bees Design on their blog.  Thanks girls, we are flattered :)  If you are searching for the best of the best wedding vendors or if you just like to look at yummy wedding details, then visit their blog! You will not be disappointed. 

The days of dyed to match shoes are coming to a screeching halt. More and more pictures are popping up with the bride or the maids wearing contrast shoes.  My personal favorite examples are the one's of daring brides with brightly colored toes peeking out of their antique white dresses.  Chelsea Petaja of Oh My Deer pulled this look off perfectly...{pictured below in yellow}.  If you prefer to keep your feet classic, then opt for your bridesmaids to wear a contrasting color to their dresses.  Your pictures will thank you!

While I was researching material for our first "Perfect Palettes" post, I ran across the blog First Comes Love...Amorology. I only had a finite amount of time to work on this project but when I landed on this blog I was sucked in..for hours. So instead of doing my laundry and walking my dogs I devoured their blog and website and fell head over heals.
